BE MORE LIKE BETTY…

The recent passing of beloved actress, Betty White sparked a movement to “Be More Like Betty.” In fact, artist Corie Mattie created a wonderful mural on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles honoring Betty’s kindness and love for animals. Of which, proceeds benefit, Wagmor Pets, a rescue organization.

To honor what would have been White’s birthday on January 17th of this year, a viral campaign was initiated using the hashtag, #BettyWhiteChallenge.

The Betty White Challenge

Betty was a forever advocate for animals and even held a few ambassadorships and honorary titles for her passion.

The #BettyWhiteChallenge movement encouraged people to donate to their local animal charities in honor of what would have been Betty’s 100th birthday. The campaign turned out to be a HUGE success. Donations through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) were reported at a whopping $12.7 million!

Thankfully, the Betty White Challenge continues to encourage people from around the globe to donate to local rescues, sanctuaries and animal shelters.

Animal shelters

Animal shelters provide shelter for unwanted, abandoned and lost cats and dogs. They provide a variety of services to these pets promoting the humane treatment of animals.

It’s never too late…
