IVC’s Annual Derby Event
It’s that time of year again! Independence Veterinary Clinic will be hosting our annual Derby event on Saturday, May 5th from 1 to 5pm. Stop by in your finest Derby attire to partake in a variety of fun activities, ranging from adorable puppy races all the way to exciting betting and raffles. Don’t forget to dress your pets too!
This year’s event will benefit the Great Charlotte SPCA, a private, volunteer-based non-profit whose mission is to improve the quality of life of homeless animals through veterinary care, foster care, humane education, and spay/neuter programs. One of the most incredible things about the GCSPCA is the fact that all animals are fostered in loving homes until they are adopted and never reside in a shelter facility.
As stated on the GCSPCA’s website, donations are the lifeblood of rescue. Participating in our Derby event will not only allow you to have a fun-filled, animal packed day, but will also enable you to help the GCSPCA continue their amazing services. Just $10 pays for a rabies vaccine for one dog/cat. $25 pays for a full set of vaccinations for one dog/cat. $35 pays for a set of vaccines with deworming for one puppy/kitten. $125 pays for neuter surgery of one dog/cat. $500 helps cover the cost of heartworm treatment for one dog. With your help, we can donate all of this and more to help save homeless animals in need.
